Infertility Stress: Support Through Your Fertility Journey

Compassionate counselling for the emotional challenges of infertility.

About This Service

Infertility is one of life’s most isolating experiences. You do not have to carry it alone.

When getting pregnant does not happen easily, it touches every part of your life. Relationships come under strain. Your body becomes a medical project. Monthly cycles turn into a rhythm of hope and grief. And all of this often happens in silence because in India, infertility is still spoken about in hushed tones, and the pressure on women to conceive is enormous and rarely acknowledged openly.

Whether you are just beginning to explore what is happening, in the middle of assisted reproduction, or coming to terms with a difficult prognosis – the emotional toll is significant and valid, regardless of where you are in the process.

This therapy is for women who need a space to process the grief, anxiety, relationship strain, and loss of control that infertility brings, without being told to “just relax” or “stay positive.”

Our Therapeutic Approach

Support that meets you where the process actually is

  1. Grief-centred work
Infertility involves cumulative, ongoing grief. The negative test, the failed cycle, the due date that passes unmarked – we create space to honour each loss rather than pushing you past it.
  2. Anxiety management during treatment
The two-week wait. The scan day. The call from the clinic. We build specific tools for managing the acutely anxious moments in the treatment cycle.
  3. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
We address the thought spirals infertility feeds, such as “this will never work,” “I am the problem,” “everyone else gets pregnant except me”. We work towards more accurate, liveable thinking.
  4. Protecting your relationship
We work on communication, maintaining intimacy beyond the goal of conception, and navigating grief together rather than in parallel.
  5. dentity and meaning-making
Whether still in treatment or considering alternatives, we explore who you are beyond your fertility and what a full, meaningful life looks like for you.
  6. Decision support at major crossroads
When to stop treatment. Donor options. Adoption. Having a structured space to think these through without pressure is genuinely valuable.

Psychological support during fertility treatment improves both emotional wellbeing and, according to research, treatment outcomes. We work alongside fertility specialists when relevant.

What to Expect

How this process unfolds

  1. A first session that holds the whole story
You may have been on this road for months or years. The first session is for telling your story and feeling genuinely heard, perhaps for the first time.
  2. Support calibrated to your treatment cycle
Session timing and focus adapt to where you are. They can be more intensive during cycles and lighter during waiting periods.
  3. No toxic positivity
You will not be told to “visualise success” or “just relax.” Honest, warm, realistic support is what we give. The kind that actually helps.
  4. A relationship that can evolve
Whether treatment works or not, this therapeutic relationship can continue through whatever comes next.
  5. Private, online sessions
Available entirely online – because the last thing you need when managing appointments and procedures is another commute.
